No canals up there in those mountains, hahaha. Did you get to Camp John Hay? I was lucky to stay twice at the U.S.Embassy residence there. It pays to be from the same ‘hood as the (then) U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines.
We had lunch there. It was the only time I got sick in the Philippine. No matter how good the place, you don’t have ice in your drink.
It was my wife’s first artists residency overseas. It was with the Duntog Foundation run by Michael Parson. The Parson family was well known in the Philippines. His father Chick Parson led the resistance during WWII against the Japanese.
