One block behind the main street that passes though the city of Binan, Philippines, are old railroad tracks where gypsies and displaced persons reside (and even do business). There is a train that runs regularly down the track, though the train must move rather slowly lest it derail and ruin a bunch of make shift homes (and several lives along with it).

A small group of us took a 3 km trek along the tracks, handing out bags of food to random families we encountered in the spirit of Christmas.
